Yes. That was meant for you, Deborah.
I now have a big shiny pro camera.
Well, sort of. It's in singapore.
So... wait til Monday. Pinky Promise!
Thursday
Saturday
essence of neglect
I'm not dead. My camera broke and then I had exams, but I will post in the holidays! That's all!
Tuesday
essence of ...
I don't have the good camera, because my sister took it to camp with her, so that's the reason that there are funny lines all over the image, and my face looks more like a smudge. And that's also why I'm wearing a lotof her clothes (no, that's not true, the shoes and top are mine!).

Saturday
essence of nowhere
I don't particularly like this image, but it was the only one I was able to get, and I really couldn't be bothered going out and getting another one taken, so it'll have to do. The "dress" is actually a skirt, but it's sooooo looooong. I found it dumped in my sister's wardrobe and I'd been looking for it for AGES.
I watched "Nowhere Boy" today and absolutely loved it, cried, giggled, gasped. Not that it was very funny or shocking. It made a lot of sense of quite a few of the Beatles songs. The actor for John Lennon was quite good, which was a bit of a surprise because I'd seen the same actor in a light-hearted teen comedy film, and they're not exactly renouned for having good actors... AND THE KID FROM LOVE ACTUALLY WAS THERE.
I shouted "THAT'S THE KID FROM LOVE ACTUALLY"
And then got a bit creeped out because he looked different and strange and older, and in my head he's always the kid from love actually, and he shouldn't ever never grow up. But he's also Ferb from Phineas and Ferb and that's a bit weird as well...
Thursday
essence of FUGLY
My (usually non-uniform) school's sports uniform is the ugliest thing in the history of all ugly things. It never looks good on anyone. Seriously. One would have to be a supermodel, and I'm talking Victoria's Secret, Milan catwalks supermodel.
It makes thin girls look like they're in a sack, normal girls look fat and... well, you get the picture.

Tuesday
essence of rantings
Ah. Yes. Rantings are not really my specialty (however they are the specialty of rantsesh) but I'm bored and it's cold and my grandparents are watching the telly so I'm going to rant. WAIT WAIT CONCENTRATION FAILING WHAT WAS I GOING TO RANT ABOUT oh right yes, good, I remember.
And yes, I do know that I could have not typed that moment seeing as you would NEVER HAVE TO KNOW but it was incase that the memory really had gone and I really want to actually post something.
Blogger is annoying me.
You know the little button up the top of blogger blogs that says "next blog"? I regularly click that out of boredom (note: boredom probably means "ugh I should do maths/Latin homework but I don't want to). And just about all of them are really boring, often families talking about mediocre things their wonderful kids did and how much they love god or people linking to random internet places. Seriously. I might as well do that Pliny-assing Latin.
And then I think "I wonder what people would think if they "next blogged" me."
Hmmmm.
Yeah.
No.
Okay.
I bet I seem really narcissistic. And annoying. I bet my blog would be boring to most people. And I bet they'd think I'm a real loser.
BUT I DON'T CARE.
I like blogging. It's fun, and theraputic... even if I am just uploading images of me making funny poses on my front deck. And it's weird that I'm writing this like I have lots of followers because I don't. I have two. Both of them are my friends, and both of them haven't been on in ages.
SO.
Yeah.
That's it.
I know it was pointless.
That was kind of the point.
Don't think about that.
You'll parodox yourself out.

Friday
Saturday
essence of floppy
Sundays = floppiness.
This outfit is brought to you by the letter "pumpkin" and the number "soup".
The cardigan is meant to be orange but it came out red in the photos. Oh well. I'm sorry that the pictures are all pretty similar, but usually I have to shoot it in different places because the lighting's never quite right, but all these photos came out mighty fine.
P.S Can't wait for Doctor Who!
Friday
essence of a trend-following fairy
I'm not a huge trend-follower, but regardless of how wacky anyone seems, we're all following some kind of trend. There are only so many different types of people, music, fashion, whatever. Indie is almost becoming the new mainstream and it's official "cool" to be indie, or at least in the world that I'm involved in.
I went to Myers yesterday, down to the basement. Thank Dog we didn't go DJs (David Jones = EWWWWS). I need to get a new coat because I only have ONE coat that I have to wear day in day out (it gets cold in Melbourne) and two jumpers that are extrememly wide necked so they don't go with anything and one hoody. And I'm pretty damn allergic to cold. I hate it. I hate the cold. Everyone always says "oh, it's so much easier to accesorise in Winter" but fuck them, I hate it. People think I'm weird when I say I hate snow. There, I'm a weirdo. Not like it's big news to anyone.
But then again, everyone thinks they're a weirdo, of sorts. True weirdos are not people you would want to admit to being.
Also, I'm really sad that no-one is commenting on my blog. And by "no-one" really, the only person that would comment on my blog is Deborah, and she hasn't. Oh drat, I'm really bad at guilt-tripping. But I am good at pleading: please, Deborah, say something, please, pretty please.
Anyway, so these pictures are me being a trend follower, in some way, shape or form. And colourful.
Wednesday
essence of vintage skates
These were my aunt's many years ago (the seventies!)... I wore them all the time when I was 12, and surprisingly they still fit me. ILY skates. I've stolen my sister's new tights. I stole the glasses from a cinema as well (shhh)! The skirt and top are from Hong Kong, and the flower I got from a friend.
We had school photos today... I wasn't as colourful as I'd like, but it was a cool outfit. And it wasn't black, so...
Saturday
essence of Regina
I posted a few nights ago that I was going to a Regina Spektor concert... IT WAS AMAZIIIIIIING. Truly, truly amazing.
I went with two of my friends, and we were really high up in the Palais Theatre, but we could still see the stage OK, and the sound was really good. And it's true what they say (they being people that have been to concerts) - everything is so much better live.
Regina didn't come til about nine, her supporting band, Jupiter One, were pretty cool, though. She did a lot of Far, but she did have her best old songs as well. And when she got up and sang by herself with the guitar it was quite hilarious.
She left, firstly, with "Summer in the City" but she was quite obviously planning an encore - everyone was clapping and shouting for one for ages (I let everyone else do the work for me after about 2 minutes!) and she finally came back and did the best of Begin to Hope.
I didn't wear the brownie dress... decided to wear my red skirt and suspenders with grey tights and I borrowed a friend's flats (she needed mine, so we swapped since I didn't care).
Strippers and guitarists have all the fun,

Thursday
essence of last-minute worries
I'm going to my FIRST EVER CONCERT tomorrow - REGINA SPEKTOR AAAAAA! (it's kind of sad, because I'm 14 [and six months] , and finding something to wear was impossible. First, I raided my sister's wardrobe, then my own, AND then I raided mum's. And do you know what I found there?
There, in the corner, hidden away, was mum's 10-year-old brownie dress, forgotten and lonely as still plastered with achievement stickers. And I thought "hey, that could actually work with some tights and a belt and my new shoes". And I tried it out. And felt ridiculously relieved because I didn't need to worry about finding something to wear anymore.
I'll show you some pictures either tomorrow, or the next day, and get some of my day-outfit as well (it's just a little too risky to go to school in that dress, besides, I know I'll get it dirty - I'm a really messy eater).
Spoodles,
LittleBig

essence of black and gold
I'm not feeling all together too well today... which explains why I look pale and have dark rings around my eyes. And I apologise for the blurry pictures...
I'm wearing an eight-year-old party princess dress as a skirt, and I love it. It's so shiny, it makes me want to smile and skip and laugh and dance. I stole the top from my mum, and I'm going barefeet because it was raining and I was raindancing outside, and we all know that you can't raindance with shoes on!
Cupcakingly,

Monday
essence of paisley
I know, I know, it's not quite paisley but it's close enough - and I just love the colours of this vest. Someone today told me that I "have the most interesting style of all the people she has ever met" and when I asked her to clarify 'interesting' she said "in a good way." How exciting is that? People have said that I have an interesting style but not most interesting.
The dress is from a retro store but it isn't retro - just made out of retro material. And the belt I got from a fete. Thank goodness for fetes! And yes, I am wearing shorts underneath because it is terribly short.
Also, I apologise for wearing my shoes three days now, and I promise I'll wear different shoes tomorrow. And the next day. Confession: I don't have many shoes. I'd rather buy a dress than shoes. Although my wishlist shoe-wise is:
- another pair of flats in a pale colour
- sandals of some sort
- boots that aren't broken
- some white sneaker-y shoes with red stitching
The shoes I'm wearing have been complemented 8 times,

essence of curtsey ZOMBIE
This skirt is a hand-me-down from my darling and favouritest cousin, and I hated it at first (when I was boring, and much skinnier) but now I really like it. It's great for curtseying! I know my eyes look weird, but my priorities are musical practice and music practice, so I had to take the pictures after it was getting dark. The top is from one of those warehouse sale thingies, and you can't quite see it but I'm wearing my new oxfords.
Curtseyingly,

Saturday
essence of autumn
So... today I felt like wearing "that" outfit - you know, the one in the little characterture. Cute charicter, isn't it? I hope it looks like me...
I think I wear this out fit (or slight variations of it) a lot. I've worn that kind of thing in possibly every season, but it's pretty Autumn-y. The beautiful orange and reds. I LOVE RED. Especially that red. I'm always wearing a combination of those three red pieces. The belt I got in Singapore and I stole the scarf from Mum. It smells like her... mmmm. I love the shoes a little too much - I'm always wearing them, and they're really scruffy now. But I could never let them go! You can't really see the flowers on the tights because my legs are ridiculously thin, but they are there. I promise.
Anyway... Autumn isn't my favourite season. Too cold! I hate the cold. Everyone says that you can "accesorize more" in Winter, but I just love the heat. But it's the most beauitful season, Autumn. I love the colours.
Painting the town red... and yellow and orange,

essence of camera
Well, I'm not really aspiring, seeing as I actually have a blog, and a photographic post and, but it's not like ANYONE knows about this - apart from my darling friend Deborah. Which means that whoever is reading this is likely to be her. Hi Deborah. Hopefully you've decided to make a fashion blog too, if I, of all people, have one.
Anyway, dear Santa/God/Genie of aspiring fashion bloggers,
I would very much love to have a DSL camera. Obviously there are reasons other than fashion blogging as to why I would want such a thing. However, I believe that a great big amazifying camera would make the images look WAY cooler, not require so much retouching (even if just in microsoft picture manager) and make me look babe. That's the main thing I love about those cameras. They make everyone look beautiful - EVERYONE. Even people that aren't photogenic.
Wishing for my great big amazifying camera,
Little Big

Friday
essence of new
This outfit is pretty damn new - the shoes and cardi I just bought today (wearing trackies and a t-shirt... anyone that knows me will know I barely ever wear trackies). The dress usually looks really bad on me. In some picures I'm wearing a claspy black belt with a gold butterfly and my favourite (albeit only) straw hat, in others an old buckle belt of Mum's and a string of fake pearls.
I'll start off this blog with an explanation as to why I finished off the last blog:
1. It was getting boring
2. People actually knew about it, so it wasn't like I could spill EVERYTHING.
3. My blog was probably extremely boring to other people too.
4. I had completely left it because I had homework, or fun stuff, or travelling to do.
5. I wanted a theme to my blog... actually, I wanted a fashion blog but I knew that I didn't really have that many clothes, and they're not really all that "fashion-y" and I'm not a total babe, like all the fashion bloggers are.
Well, I let go of my inhibitions of that last reason and decided to start a fashion blog.... as you can see. It's mainly because I recently purchased some absolutely gorgeous shoes, as shown above on picture 3.
Anyway... the title is kind of an in joke between two of my best friends and me, and kind of a pun because it's similar to "essence of being" except it's essence of be, because my nickname is Be. But it's barely even a nickname - or an ekename, whatevs - anymore. It's my name.
This isn't going to be a daily thing - whenever I get around to it.
So... see you then, readers (ha-ha!) and dearest, newest, blog
Stylishly (wishingly)
LittleBig,
aka Be.
